Streaming-fast satellite Wi-Fi is fast enough to stream on sites and apps like YouTube, Netflix, and Xfinity Stream. It is offered on all Boeing 737 MAX, 737-900ERs, all but one 737-900, 737-800s, and all Embraer E175s. The Wi-Fi coverage is available in almost all regions they fly with the exception of flights over the Arctic Circle in Alaska.
Basic Wi-Fi
Basic Wi-Fi can be purchased for $8 on Embraer E175s. On Boeing 737s, the pricing varies up to $24.99.
Basic Wi-Fi allows you to browse the web, check your emails, and shop online. High-bandwidth activities such as streaming, downloading or uploading of large file attachments are not supported in this plan.
Basic Wi-Fi is offered on all Boeing 737-700s, Embraer E175s, and one Boeing 737-900. Basic Wi-Fi coverage is not available when flying to Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, and parts of Alaska.
Free Texting
All passengers can enjoy free texting on Alaska Airlines flights. You can use WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, iMessage, Google Messages, and Telegram for texting. Visit the Wi-Fi page to activate the free texting service.
