To get free Wi-Fi, you need to join Aeroplan membership – which is free of charge. Make sure you add your Aeroplan number at the time of booking or before completing check-in to get the free Wi-Fi on board.
How to connect to Air Canada Wi-Fi?
- Once onboard, go to Settings and turn on Airplane Mode.
- Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to the “ACWiFi.com” network.
- Open a web browser and type acwifi.com in the address bar.
- If you are an Aeroplan Member, enter your Last Name and Seat No, accept the terms of use and click Connect now.
- You will be connected to the Air Canada Wi-Fi.
If you are not an Aeroplan Member you can purchase a Flight Pass at a flat fee. You can choose from Stream Pass, Unlimited Pass, and Air Canada Plan. The price and plans varies based on the flight route and duration.
If you already have a Wi-Fi Pass or Plan, you can choose the sign in to your Wi-Fi Onboard account option from the Wi-Fi portal.

Aeroplan Members and all Business Class passengers enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi on flights within North America and to Sun destinations. Free Wi-Fi on long-haul international flights are expected to roll out in 2026.
Aeroplan 75K and Super Elite Members who have selected Elite Wi-Fi plan as a Select Benefit will receive 12 months of unlimited Wi-Fi on any Wi-Fi equipped Air Canada flight.
On Air Canada Rouge flights, Aeroplan and Premium Rogue passengers receive free Wi-Fi on all flights within North America and Sun destinations.
For all other customers, and non-members, you can purchase various Wi-Fi passes and plans for a fee.
You can pay for Wi-Fi via debit or credit card, digital wallets such as PayPal, WeChat Pay, and Alipay, Bank Transfer, and at Air Canada airport counters.

You can look for the Wi-Fi symbol when booking the flight through Air Canada website or the app. Some third-party ticketing website may also display the Wi-Fi under flight features or amenities.

Which apps are supported on free texting plan?
You can use Apple iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Google Messages, Telegram, WeChat, LINE, KakaoTalk, Tencent QQ, and Viber. Voice calling and transferring media attachments are not supported.
